Listen

Are you listening?? That is a question that has been brought up to me in the past week. It is easy to let life get busy and forget to truly get quiet before God. Have I taken the time to know in my heart exactly what He wants me to do? Sometimes we hear the voices of others and take it as His; but it is your job to be listening yourself, He is speaking to you; He knows what the future holds and has your best interest in mind. If He is telling you to Go then GO, if He is telling you to SPEAK then SPEAK. Don't be afraid of the obstacles; In His will is the safest and best place that you can put yourself. ARE YOU IN IT? ...another thought don't expect God to speak to you in only one way, don't limit Him because you will miss it. Invite Him to speak to you however He pleases whether through a dream, through another person, through peace; and then open your heart to what He is saying.

I feel like so many times I have missed it; but I am learning to listen. It takes time, it takes building your relationship with Him. But I am willing to do whatever it takes to hear Him; to get away from the noise and the distractions and LISTEN because HE IS SPEAKING.

CD Release

Our CD has been released!!! We are very excited :) We have had the privilege of sharing our music at different churches, and have a concert coming up on the 8th of January. It is going to be an awesome night of music and ministry the theme is "the Unfaded Life" It is all about living a life that shines bright and not fading into the routine of life. Lots of sweet stuff is coming up so make sure to keep up with what's happening!!!

Isaiah 26:3
You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.

When our thoughts and our hope and confidence is in Him, we can have peace in every situation. We don't have to be shaken in bad times. We know the One who holds the world in His hand. So trust Him, He will not let you down. He has not forgotten you. Allow yourself to be saturated in His perfect peace.

What if?

What if we as Christians truly took hold of all of God's promises and all that He has called us to be? What if our relationship with God was our number one priority? What if we let God's love shine through us in our every word and action?...what would happen? God is more than willing to use us. Are we willing to be used? Our world needs the love of God. We have the truth and we need to be reaching out to those who are lost and hurting not only with our words but with our action. It is time to stop thinking, "something needs to be done" and start DOING SOMETHING about it. The church is meant to be one of strength and one of passion. We should not shrink back from problems and issues but instead act in courage,knowing that God is bigger and above all things and that His Spirit of power dwells inside of us. It is time for us to rise up, to love without holding back, to be strong, and destroy the works of the devil with the Light that God has put inside of us. "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD". Is your light shining? or is it hiding? It is time....for change....time for us to stop hiding and begin to MAKE AN IMPACT in our world. It is our time to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Esther

Hey hey hey!!!!
Here is a little something to think about:

Esther (if you haven't read her story you should, it is in the book of Esther in the Bible ;)

This girl was incredible, she risked it all. She had a greater purpose than to simply be a beautiful queen. Although all the stakes were against her she stepped out into the unknown and did what God asked her to do; and because she did she saved her nation...her people. Incredible!

Another hero in this story was Mordecai (her cousin). He encourages Esther and pleads with her to do something to save her people.

Esther 4:14 Mordecai says to Esther, "maybe you were made Queen for such a time as this".

We need those people who will prompt us and encourage us not to settle but to be all that we were created to be...who is your Mordecai

Maybe just maybe...you are here for such a time as this...do not settle for less than all that God has called you to be.

What if we all had the courage that Esther had....to give it all, to allow God to do mighty things through us...no matter what the cost. We would be unstoppable.

If God can move through an ordinary girl like Esther He can most certainly move through us. We just have to be willing. What an adventure it will be!!! What a powerful and awesome God we serve! Do not let yourself forget how mighty He is...we have no need to be timid, discouraged, or afraid; because His power lives inside of us.

We plead with you...do not sell yourself short...do not sell the world short....their are people that need your light, that need you to step out, to reach out, and to have the courage and boldness to allow God to do amazing things through you. :)

So Happy

We have exciting news...we are now officially done recording!!!!!! Wow....that was crazy, but good:) So now we are on to the mixing process and all of that stuff. We cannot wait to hear what it will sound like all put together. Can't wait to share our music with you all.

A New Day

Hey everyone,
It is a wonderful Thursday morning....and tomorrow is Friday which is exciting, because we are recording the vocals for our CD, it is super close to being done. Finally, on Tuesday we accomplished all of the acoustic guitar tracks, which was quite the task and a little frustrating at times. Either way, we did it and we have been learning a ton; this being our first time recording a CD and we are really excited to see the outcome of all our work. It's a new day, and we never know what could happen :) life is never boring that is for sure.

I look up to the mountains- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber...The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as a protective shield.

Isn't it crazy to think that the Creator of the universe is watching over you and that He wants to stand beside you and help you through life? The thought blows me away....we can have courage and boldness not because of who we are but because of the One beside us. He never sleeps...he never forgets about us...He is always there.

The Beginning

Hello everyone,
Welcome to our first blog :) It is kind of an awkward one to write, because you assume that the way the first one starts is how the rest be. Well probably not so much.You have done the first step and visited our website, now comes the determining factor of if you will become apart of what we are doing or just forget that you ever saw/heard anything about us. We hope you will choose the first option but...we won't spark an interest in everyone, and that is perfectly okay. In our blog we will be including our thoughts, random stories/updates, verses and things that have inspired us, and also sneak previews of what is to come.
